Handheld Kingdom

“You’re blessed when your commitment to God provokes persecution. The persecution drives you even deeper into God’s kingdom. “Not only that—count yourselves blessed every time people put you down or throw you out or speak lies about you to discredit me. What it means is that the truth is too close for comfort and they are uncomfortable. You can be glad when that happens—give a cheer, even!—for though they don’t like it, I do! And all heaven applauds. And know that you are in good company. My prophets and witnesses have always gotten into this kind of trouble.”
‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5:10-12‬ ‭MSG‬‬

Verse 10 happens to be the verse of the day on YouVersion Bible app. After praying this morning and reading these verses again, it became glaringly clear that travailing for the establishment of God’s Kingdom on earth as it is in Heaven not only focuses on the guaranteed persecution, but also on the truth that the persecuted — for God’s sake — possess God’s Kingdom. That is, as we enabledly hunger and thirst after God’s righteousness, seek His face and will, do what pleases Him; He reveals the mysteries of His Word to us, shares His burdens with us and allows us seat at the table with His Heavenly Council and Courts to partake in Heavenly Legislations that go against the grain of the world… Heavenly truths that shake even the tables of the “church” and the Body of Christ — as persecution not only comes from the world but also from within the church.

As His Son and Spirit help us warfare from victory’s position, His Kingdom is established on earth. Meaning we — the persecuted —literally are given, have and are holding the Kingdom of God in our hands.

Now, I’m legit singing:

He’s got the whole world in His hands
He puts His Kingdom in our hands
He’s got the whole world in His hands
He puts His Kingdom in our hands

“One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God can’t be detected by visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is already among you [or is within us or is in our grasp]. — Luke‬ ‭17:20-21‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and he will give you everything you need. “So don’t be afraid, little flock. For it gives your Father great happiness to give you the Kingdom.” — Luke‬ ‭12:31-32‬ ‭NLT‬‬

“Blessed [comforted by inner peace and God’s love] are those who are persecuted for doing that which is morally right, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven [both now and forever]. “Blessed [morally courageous and spiritually alive with life-joy in God’s goodness] are you when people insult you and persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil things against you because of [your association with] Me. Be glad and exceedingly joyful, for your reward in heaven is great [absolutely inexhaustible]; for in this same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you.” — Matthew‬ ‭5:10-12‬ ‭AMP‬‬

Effective Prayer
““Keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks, receives. Everyone who seeks, finds. And to everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.” — Matthew‬ ‭7:7-8‬ ‭NLT‬‬

Thank You Lord Jesus for teaching and reflecting on us,
Thank You Holy Spirit for reminding and enabling us,
Thank You Abba Father for entrusting us to ask, seek and knock on Heaven’s doors,
Thank You for Your will that’s done and Kingdom that’s come by virtue of Your presence with and in us… Emmanuel;

For Your glory to be seen, acknowledged and proclaimed in all the earth and for the sake of Your Son.
